2010 Highlights

June/July

• July 20th: NCQMA Summer Series race--Alex started in 8th position due to pill draw, worked his way to 2nd place before receivjng a bad call with 3 laps to go. He made his way back through the field for a 4th place finish.  Unfortunately Alex did not finish the Lt. WF race because after spinning and having to come in to repair a chain, fuel spilled into the cockpit causing Alex to have to pull off the track and get out of his car.
  
• July 17th: NCQMA Points Race--Unfortunately, the event was canceled due to rain.
  
• June 26th-July 3rd: Eastern Grands at Mini Indy-- Due to a crew chief error, Alex qualifed 65th out  of  82 cars in Lt. 160, finished 4th in the M Main, 1st in the L Main, 2nd in the K Main, 1st in the J Main, and was wrecked in the I Main. He qualified 10th out of 15 cars in Lt. AA and finished 7th in the B Main. Alex qualified 10th out of 27cars  in Lt. World Formula, finsihed 2nd in the B Main and finished 3rd in the A Main.  Alex was interviewed for the Coast  2 Coast  newsletter AND  by Channel 13 WTHR which was  aired on July 1st. May

• May 29th: NCQMA East Coast Challenge--Alex set FAST TIME and a new TRACK RECORD in Lt. 160, led 17 laps, but finished 7th. He qualified 6th in Lt. WF and finished 5th.
  
• May 22nd: NCQMA Points Race--Alex qualified 6th in Lt. 160, won the B Main, and finished 2nd in the A Main. He finished 6th in Lt. World Formula.
  
• May 7th: Mini INdy--Alex qualified 6th in Lt. 160, 3rd in Lt. WF, and 3rd in Lt. AA. He led a good part of the Lt. 160 B Main, but finished 5th. Early in the A Main, his chain fell off and it was not fixed in time to get back on the track. In the Lt. WF A Main, Alex crashed during warm-up and was unable to finish the race. In Lt. AA, he ended up in 3rd place.
  
• May 1st: NCQMA Points Race--Alex set FAST TIME and a new TRACK RECORD in Lt. 160, but  finished 8th in the A Main after being in a couple of wrecks. He qualified 4th in Lt. WF and finished 3rd.
  

April

• April 17th: NCQMA Points Race--Alex qualified 4th in both Lt. 160 and Lt. WF. He went on to finish 4th in Lt. 160 and win the Lt. WF A Main. He dedicated his Lt. WF win to his friend and competitor, Tyler Shullick, who was injured in the race.
  
• April 3rd: MAQMA Club Race--Alex finished 4th in the Lt. 160 A Main and 5th in the Lt. WF A Main.
  

March

• March 27-28th: USAC .25 Generation Next at NCQMA--Alex won his Lt. 160 heat race and finished 7th in the A Main. He finished the WF heat race in 3rd and went on to finish 5th in the A Main. There was no heat race for Lt. AA, but Alex drove to a 6th place finish in the Lt. AA A Main.
  
• March 13th: NCQMA Fun Race--Unfortunately the rain came canceling the event before Alex got the chance to hit the track.
  
• March 6th: NCQMA Fun Race--Alex finished 3rd in his Lt. 160 heat race and went on to finish 7th in the A Main. He also finished 3rd in the WF heat race, and finished 2nd in the A Main.
  

February

• February 27-28th: Columbus Indoor --In Lt. 160, Alex qualified 6th and finished 10th in the B Main. He qualified 9th in Lt. WF  and finished 9th in the B Main. In Lt. AA. Alex qualified 11th, and he finished 7th in the B Main.
  

January

• January 16th: Columbus Indoor --Alex finished 3rd in his  Lt. 160 heat race, 4th in the B Main, and 9th in the A Main. He finished 5th in his Lt. B heat race, 4th in the B Main, and 10th in the A Main.
